Back pain affects people from all walks of life, short, tall, heavy, thin young and old. The discs between the spinal bones can be a source of back pain. When these ‘spacers’ or ‘shock absorbers’ bulge or herniate, as a result of trauma, they put pressure on surrounding delicate nerves. The joints on the back of each spinal bone can be a source of back pain too. These ‘interlocking fingers’ can have painful symptoms if they are moving incorrectly or in a state of inflammation.
There are several options to treating the root cause of back pain however, chiropractic is the most effective, drug free, non-invasive, non-surgical method for treating back pain.
Other options include physical therapy to exercise the joints but exercising joints that are not moving correctly is like driving your car with the wheels out of alignment! Drugs can mask the pain and offer temporary relief but they can not correct the function of the spine.
Surgery is a drastic option which is expensive and risky as results are only rewarding in under half of all back operations.
Chiropractic is safe, cost effective and natural and should be a primary consideration.
